Canada Games Aquatic Centre
The Canada Games Aquatic Centre was built to host the 1985 Canada Summer Games. The capital cost of $9.3 million was provided through the Saint John 1985 Canada Summer Games Society, Inc. which was funded by the three levels of government for all capital costs of the 1985 Canada Summer Games, supplemented by private and corporate donations.
The CGAC is connected to the Shoppes of City Hall, Market Square, Brunswick Square, City Market and Harbour Station through Uptown Saint John’s unique indoor pedway system. You can access a variety of shops, hotels and restaurants in the area without stepping outside!
