Photo Policy

We obtain confirmation on the TIDE registration forms confirming consent to use photographs.

TIDE photos of team events, meets, and team photographs may be posted to the TIDE website, TIDE Facebook page, TIDE Twitter account, TIDE Bulletin Board at the CGAC or other social media for team-related use.

The consent will acknowledge the right of the team’s representatives to crop or treat the photograph at its discretion and acknowledge that any use of the photos is done without financial compensation to the swimmer and that the team’s representatives may choose not to use my photo at this time, but may do so at its own discretion at a later date.

Once images are posted on the TIDE Team website, the image can be downloaded by any computer user. Therefore, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless from any claims the following:

• Board of Directors TIDE
• The web design volunteers
• All volunteers who may contribute photos to the board to be posted on the web site

Parents may request the removal of any photos of their child that they deem inappropriate. This request should be in writing to the TIDE Executive Board of Directors.

TIDE reserves the right to discontinue use of photos without notice.

TIDE will maintain a list of swimmers who have not granted consent and will request that the swimmer be excused from team photos, photos taken during meets, and photos taken at other TIDE events, such as awards ceremonies.
